The tailgate gas-filled strut for the X-Class prevents the heavy tailgate from crashing down and allows it to be conveniently opened without having to physically hold it. Installation of the strut on both sides makes the tailgate open very smoothly and evenly. The tailgate gas-filled strut consists of steel brackets painted in black and high-quality hydraulic strut assemblies which are maintenance-free and do not need to be adjusted. No drilling is required, which makes the installation quick and easy. The struts can be combined with the water and dust protection as well as all other Mercedes-Benz accessory products. High-quality materials ensure a very robust, long-lasting design.
